Double-blank and low-probability bingos at club
Last night at the club I went 5-1 with the blanks on my side. In 6 games, I had 4 double-blank bingos. Usually that means I'm missing single-blank bingos, but this time, I drew both blanks twice in a single draw, once in consecutive draws (no bingo in ?ACKORZ), and once separated by three draws (I'm sure I did miss single-blank bingos in that one).
I also played the lowest-probability bingo I think I've ever played: BAcKWaSH for 119 points to an H. Zyzzyva puts this at probability order 29201 for 8s, meaning there are only 561 8s that are less probable (29200-29205 all have equal probability). Unfortunately I still have a way to go to match
extempore's FLIPFLOP at 29615. Holding ??ABKSW, I was surprised to see several playable bingos and even more surprised I knew the words: BAWCOCKS, BUCKSAW/SAWBUCK, WETBACKS, WORKBAGS (thanks
redaragorn), and finally the winner, BACKWASH. There are more in there, but I didn't know or see them. Yeah, I'll be adding all the BKW 8s to my cardbox now.
I also got J, K, and X bingos, which was kind of strange. JINGOES came during one of the last two games, where I drew the J five times. I exchanged the sucker thrice, and each time, it came right back out in the next draw despite my vigorous shuffling. It was a weird night.
No time for game details, so here are some bingos:
